SAYE Katale - Demand Meets Supply

1. Introduction

Welcome to SAYE Katale ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SAYE Katale mobile application ("App") and related services (collectively, the "Service").

SAYE Katale is a digital agricultural marketplace that connects poultry farmers, sellers, buyers, and agricultural service providers in Uganda. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

3.1 Account Creation

You must create an account to access the full features of the App. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration, including your full name, phone number, National Identification Number (NIN), and location details.

Sellers are responsible for ensuring that:

We use AI-powered image verification to ensure product images match the listed category. Products with mismatched images may be rejected or removed.

5.3 Seller Obligations

Sellers must fulfill orders promptly, maintain product quality, and handle buyer complaints in good faith. Repeated failure to meet these obligations may result in account suspension.

6. Buyer Terms

6.1 Purchases

All purchases made through SAYE Katale are agreements between the buyer and seller. We act as a marketplace facilitator and are not a party to the transaction itself.

6.2 Payments

Payments are processed through integrated mobile money services (including YO Payments). By making a purchase, you authorize the payment transaction and agree to the applicable payment terms.

6.3 Complaints and Disputes

If you experience issues with a purchase, you may file a complaint through the App. We will mediate disputes in good faith but are not liable for the quality of products sold by third-party sellers.

7. PSA (Private Sector Actor) Products

SAYE Katale features products from Private Sector Actors (PSA) who provide agricultural inputs such as feeds, vitamins, vaccines, chicken cages, drinkers, feeders, and equipment. PSA products are managed by authorized administrators and are clearly marked within the App.

8. Loan Services

SAYE Katale may offer agricultural business loan application services. Loan approval, terms, interest rates, and disbursement are subject to the policies of our lending partners. We do not guarantee loan approval and are not a financial institution.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the SAYE Katale App (including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software) are owned by SAYE Katale or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.

By uploading content (such as product images and descriptions), you grant SAYE Katale a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the platform.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including:

You agree to indemnify and hold SAYE Katale, its officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through:

  1. Negotiation: Good-faith negotiation between the parties.
  2. Mediation: If negotiation fails, through mediation in Kampala, Uganda.
  3. Arbitration: If mediation fails, through binding arbitration under the laws of Uganda.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and notify you through the App. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
